I have been retired since 2014. For the past few months I have been re-evaluating my decision. There are so many days that I feel that I am not contributing to my family. Has anyone ever felt that way?

Shortly, my spouse will retire. I am certain that this will place a different spin on my life–I hope in a positive way. Perhaps we will now be able to travel–disposable income taken into consideration.

During these last 2 years, I have had a lot of time to think back on my life in general. I have realized that it is a fast ride from the Age of Aquarius to the Age of Medicare and I hope that I have made a positive impact on people that I have come in contact with–both in side and out side of my former job.

Now that the Christmas season ( or silly season) is upon us– I have fond memories of past holidays and miss everyone no longer here to celebrate with me.

Is it friendship or is it not?

The past few days I have been pondering “Friendships”. I have always thought that friends were supportive and stuck by you through thick and thin. I always thought that friends stayed in contact with each other, if only to say “hi”…

I am re-thinking my philospophy

I will not carr…

I will not carry a gun…. I’ll carry your books, I’ll carry a torch, I’ll carry a tune, I’ll carry on, carry over, carry forward, Cary Grant, cash and carry, carry me back to Old Virginia, I’ll even hari-kari if you show me how, but I will not carry a gun! ~Hawkeye, “Officer of the Day,” original airdate 24 September 1974, written by Laurence Marks, directed by Hy Averback…

I hate war.. I honestly do not know of anyone that actually LIKES war, I am sure there are some out there. I am concerned about the conceal carry in IL..  I do not want to be afraid to walk down the street with my family and worry about someone carrying a gun . Although I am more than certain that people do this now, to have this be legal and the image in my mind of someone taking this law and making it theirs, is quite frankly.. scary.
